Etofylline + Theophylline

Etofylline and Theophylline are xanthine derivatives. They work by relaxing the smooth muscles of the bronchial airways and pulmonary blood vessels, thereby reducing airway resistance and improving airflow. This combination is highly effective in managing chronic respiratory conditions but requires careful dosage monitoring due to a narrow therapeutic index.

Dosage by Body Weight

Adults usually take 1 tablet of immediate or prolonged-release form 1 to 3 times daily, preferably after meals to prevent gastric irritation. Dosage must be strictly individualized. Pediatric dosing must be carefully calculated by a physician based on the theophylline component and patient's clinical response.
